"Black No. 1 (Little Miss Scare-All)" is a song by Type O Negative, included on their third album Bloody Kisses, released in 1993. Although it is the third track on the regular version of the album, it is the ninth and last track on the digipak. With Halloween-themed lyrics, the song is a sarcastic ode to stereotypical goth girls.
This song was initially written while driving a garbage truck while working for Parks Department. Peter Steele told Revolver, "I was waiting in line for three hours to dump 40 cubic yards of human waste at the Hamilton Avenue Marine Transfer Station, and I wrote the song in my head. I'm not kidding you." He then lost the lyrics, so he had to rewrite it on paper.
There is an official music video for this song.
Lyrics[]
I went looking for trouble
And boy
I found her...
She's in love with herself
She likes the dark
On her milk white neck
The Devil's mark
It's all Hallows Eve
The moon is full
Will she trick or treat?
I bet she will
She will
Happy Halloween
She's got a date at midnight
With Nosferatu
Oh baby, Lilly Munster
Ain't got nothing on you
Well when I called her evil
She just laughed
And cast that spell on me
Boo Bitchcraft
Yeah you wanna go out
'Cause it's raining and blowing
You can't go out
'Cause your roots are showing
Dye 'em black
Dye 'em black
Black black black black no. 1
Black black black black no. 1
Little wolf skin boots
And clove cigarettes
An erotic funeral
For witch she's dressed
Her perfume smells like
Burning leaves
Everyday is Halloween
Yeah you wanna go out
'Cause it's raining and blowing
You can't go out
'Cause your roots are showing
Dye 'em black
Dye 'em black
Black black black black no. 1
She dyes 'em black
Black black black black no. 1
Black no. 1
