"Green Man" is a song by Type O Negative, included on their fourth album October Rust, released in 1996. The intro part of the track has recorded sounds of a garbage man dumping out garbage into the garbage truck once driven by Peter Steele, then drives away. The title of this song, "Green Man", was inspired when children called Steele Green Man when he was wearing green jumpsuit when he worked as a park maintenance. The song is about Pete's love of nature having four seasons, as well as rebirth, renaissance and spirits of the forest. It also contains lyrics about the sculpture of the same name as shown on the cover art. The slowness and nature of this song may make some listeners feel natural, warm and inviting, per the review on Simple Anime.
