"the regular closing" is a song by Type O Negative, included on the second album The Origin of the Feces, released in 1992. The song is the continued version of "Kill You Tonight" two tracks prior and the altered version of "Xero Tolerance" of the last album Slow, Deep and Hard. This one begins with an organ, then gives way to hardcore riffs, and the ending features a piano sampled from The Beatles' "A Day in the Life" before there's just crickets until the very end. This song is about definitely going to kill his ex who is dating a new boyfriend and his imagination led him to her location on Brighton Beach while also killing that boyfriend.
I got a pickax in the trunk of my car I'll put it on the grinder to get it real sharp There's an ugly green monster in my head Won't leave me alone Until you're dead I called your house but you couldn't be reached So I took the D train to Brighton Beach You're doing the thing with a brand new man Checking out the stars Screwing on the sand Kill you Kill you I'm gonna kill you Took some steroids and adrenaline Finlandia vodka and hallucinogens Mixed it with blood and orange juice Liquid protein and ice cubes Staring down at your sweaty embraces Put my tool right through your faces Well buddyboy I hope you enjoyed her 'Cause I'm an equal opportunity destroyer Kill you Kill you I'm gonna kill you I'll kill you tonight Yeah I'll kill you tonight I said I'll kill you tonight I'll fuckin' kill you
