October Noir is a gothic/doom metal band formed in late 2016 in Pensacola, FL. It was formed to keep Type O Negative legacy going by releasing more music in the TON style so fans who miss new Type O releases because of the death of Peter Steele and the subsequent breakup of the band would have a similar band to look forward to and enjoy. October Noir was initially a one-man band by Tom Noir then it has since became a quartet, comprising of vocalist/bassist Tom Noir, guitarist Doug Lane, drummer Tyler Fleming, and keyboardist to be named who will replace departed Justin Thompson. October Noir has released three albums—The Haunting and the Powerful (2017), Thirteen (2019), and Fate, Wine, and Wisteria (2021).
